How to pack your items
What to wrap, what to label and how to load so nothing shifts or breaks on a long crossing.
Before collection day
Better safe than sorry
Your furniture is about to travel a long way — motorways, ferry ramps or the Eurotunnel, and hours of vibration in between. A few extra minutes of wrapping now is what stands between a scratched table and one that arrives exactly as it left.
We handle every load with care, but the best protection starts at home, before anything goes into the vehicle. Blankets, plastic wrap and a bit of cardboard on the corners cost very little — repairing or replacing a damaged piece costs a lot more, and the memories attached to it can't be replaced at all.
That's why we put together a simple, step-by-step guide. Follow it and you'll know your things are packed the way we would pack them ourselves.
We want every one of your belongings to arrive safe, sound and ready to use in your new home.
