We know how hard these forms can be. Customs codes, declared values, weights, an importer's declaration — it's a lot, especially in the middle of a move when you already have a hundred other things on your mind.
The good news: you only need to fill in one document, the shipping invoice for personal effects. It's simply a list of what you're moving and roughly what it's worth. Download the blank form, take your time with it, and use our completed example as a guide.

Who and where
Sender, consignee, the countries of departure and destination, and the total number of packages.
One line per item
Start with “Used”, then what it is and its size — for example “Used dining table (76 x 200 x 90 cm)”.
Quantity and value
How many of each item and a realistic value per piece. Boxes can be grouped by size.
Totals and signature
Estimated gross and net weight, the total value, then date, place and signature.
